The forward Maurizio Sarri wants to sign when he becomes Chelsea boss

Speaking to talkSPORT after the win, Koulibaly was asked about his former Napoli boss, Maurizio Sarri, was was replaced by Carlo Ancelotti only a few weeks ago.

Napoli's Senegalese global centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly certainly believes Sarri is headed to Chelsea as he told English radio station talkSPORT after his country's opening 2-1 victory over Poland in the World Cup.

It's claimed that the Spaniard can leave the Stadio San Paolo this summer if his €6M release clause is yet.

Albiol is thought to have a very close relationship with incoming Chelsea manager Sarri, to a reunion with the 59-year-old in West London may well be on the cards. One main reason for this downfall has been the shaky Chelsea back line that has conceded way too many goals this season.

Mertens starred under Sarri last season, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for the Serie A side as they finished second behind Juventus. It now remains to be seen if Sarri is able to convince the Chelsea board to sign Mertens and kick-start their transfer spending for the summer.

According to SportItalia, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Juventus to pay €32m plus €3m in bonuses for Rugani, who will be Sarri's first signing at Stamford Bridge.

Mertens offered a reminder of what he is capable of at the FIFA World Cup on Monday, netting a stunning volley for his country in their 3-0 win over Panama. With Pedro's Chelsea future uncertain as well, the need to bolster attack is urgent, with Mertens a possible solution on the right side of attack, where he will be able to link up with worldwide teammate Eden Hazard.
