New Han Solo meets original Han Solo when Harrison Ford crashes interview

Directed by Ron Howard from a script by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, Solo: A Star Wars Story stars Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Emilia Clarke as Qi'ra and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.

Ehrenreich appeared to be taken aback when he saw Ford and got up immediately.

One other impression that Alden Ehrenreich got of Harrison Ford during his sitdown with the famous actor was about his long-documented dislike of ewoks.

With all the buzz surrounding Solo: A Star Wars Story, there are plenty of Han Solo comparisons between the original actor who played him (Harrison Ford) and the new actor playing a young version (Alden Ehrenreich).

He said, 'If anyone asks, tell them I told you everything you need to know, and that you're not allowed to say anything.' Which was great...

The interviewer prods him on saying 'You might want to say one or two more things.' as Ford emerges from behind Ehrenreich's chair. "They made a pillow out of it for me", Glover said, which he now travels with.

"Oh my God, that is awesome", says a clearly surprised Ehrenreich.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ehrenreich met up with Ford for lunch after he was cast as the young Han Solo for advice on the role.

Ford also has a cameo in the new film, which opens May 25.

'So we had lunch I guess two years ago or something and he was really encouraging, really supportive and we went off and shot the film and everything like that. "I should get back to writing, Jesus what have I typed", he concludes". The snippet was posted by ET on Instagram, with the full interview expected to be released on Sunday.

The official Star Wars Twitter account also shared some photographic snaps that reveal Ford and Ehrenreich having a private conversation away from the cameras, which seems to suggest this was much more than simply Ford making a "moment" for the cameras-he looks genuinely interested in chatting with Ehrenreich.
