He ate his 20,000 Big Mac in 2004.

Don Gorske of Wisconsin loves to eat McDonald's Big Mac so much he has eaten thousands of it over the past 46 years.

The most Big Macs consumed was achieved by Donald Gorske (USA), who ate his 28,788th Big Mac in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA, on 24 August 2016.

Indeed, Gorske reports that there have only been eight days during which he didn't eat a Big Mac that entire time: once because an intense snowstorm stopped him from reaching McDonald's, and once on the day in 1988 when his mother died. He said he thought he had a big mac saved in the freezer but was mistaken.

Asked about the haters and doubters, Gorske was serene: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me".

As for his health, Don poo-poos the naysayers and health brigade, saying that at his last medical check-up, he had low cholesterol and "perfect" blood pressure.

He says he's eaten a Big Mac nearly every day since May 17, 1972.

Ruase added: "Don has a passion for Big Macs like no other".

"I also made a promise to my mom". Gorske said he plans on keeping his routine going for another 14 years to get to 40,000 Big Macs eaten.
