'Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt' to End With Season 4, Possible Movie Finale

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was Netflix's first ongoing half-hour half hour comedy to debut on the service. The next batch of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt episodes will be split into two parts given that Season 4 is now still halfway in production.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4 is nearly here, but it'll be the series' last hurrah.

There is a new theme and direction for Kimmy this year.

30 Rock's Tina Fey and Robert Carlock created Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, which was initially set up at NBC before jumping ship to Netflix.

At least we still have a full season of episodes and a movie to look forward to before Kimmy and her pals officially walk off into the sunset.

The series follows Kimmy Schmidt as she continues to adjust to life in the 21st century after spending many years locked in a bunker by a insane man. Joining Kimmy on her journey are her best friend and roommate, Titus Andromedon; her former-employer-turned-friend Jacqueline White; and landlord Lillian Kaushtupper.

Jane Krakowski stars in "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" season 4.

Deadline first posted the news, which was later echoed by The Hollywood Reporter.

Despite today's news, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt fans might have a long while to wait until they see the comedy come to a close.

Netflix announced the fourth season of the hit series would be split into two part, with Part 1 premiering later this month on May 30 and Part 2 some time later in 2018. The second half, which features seven episodes, will be released at an undisclosed date.

Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is set to conclude following its upcoming fourth season, according to reports.

It sounds like there are "talks" of a wrap-up movie after the series ends.
