Pretty Much Everyone is Calling James Comey a Liar

"I think that in the case of Comey, in particular, he did not want Trump to be president, and so, there may have been some bias".

Comey said during his first live interview of a whirlwind book tour Tuesday on ABC's Good Morning America that Trump is "just making stuff up".

By the way, it's worth noting that Trump's critics have a much more nuanced and realistic view of Comey.

During Comey's highly anticipated "20/20" interview, he told host George Stephanopoulos that he approached Lynch and that she agreed they should confirm the investigation.

"I think he's morally unfit to be president", Comey told ABC. Comey remembered Trump saying, "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go".

Among Trump tweets: "The big questions in Comey's badly reviewed book aren't answered like, how come he gave up Classified Information (jail), why did he lie to Congress (jail), why did the DNC refuse to give Server to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (why didn't they TAKE it), why the phony memos, McCabe's $700,000 & more?".

On Sunday, before the ABC interview aired, Comey tweeted that his book draws on stories from his life and from lessons he has learned from others. It always struck me and still strikes me as unlikely, and I would've been able to say with high confidence about any other president I dealt with, but I can't.

"A person who sees moral equivalence in Charlottesville, who talks about and treats women like they're pieces of meat, who lies constantly about matters big and small and insists the American people believe it, that person's not fit to be president of the United States, on moral grounds", Comey said.

Almost 7 in 10 Americans support tougher US sanctions against Russian Federation, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll that also finds roughly half the public saying President Donald Trump has done "too little" to criticize Russian Federation for alleged violations of global law.

The simple fact is that Trump was elected and Comey was appointed.

"And again, I don't know what that will be".

Comey described in great detail several conversations he had with Trump, telling Stephanopoulos of how the president asked for his loyalty and how that interaction and others reminded him of his time as a prosecutor in NY pursuing mob families, for whom loyalty to the boss and the organization were the only values that mattered.

Mr Mueller's probe has expanded to include whether Mr Trump obstructed justice by firing Mr Comey, which the president denies. "I just thought it was a weird enough experience for me to be talking to the incoming president of the United States about prostitutes in a hotel in Moscow". But he said any criminal charge would be up to a prosecutor, who would evaluate Trump's intention.

"I have known James Comey nearly 30 years".

Comey also responded to critics who questioned why he included negative personal descriptions about the size of the president's hands, his elaborate hairstyle and the length of his tie. So the American people are to blame? "James Comey cost her the election", said Bill Clinton.

Stephanopoulos also asked Comey whether Congress should take legal action against Trump.

"Jim Comey loves to be in the center of power", Conway suggested. "The president just kicked out the attorney general to ask me to drop a criminal investigation.' Wow, the world continues to go insane".
