The 2019 Sevens Collection will contain Japan after Damian Karauna's facet beat Germany 19-14 within the annual world collection qualifier in Hong Kong.

Fiji's attention will now be focused on further glory when the team heads to the Commonwealth Games on Australia's Gold Coast.

Victory for Fiji, on the other hand, saw them creeping to within three points behind series leaders South Africa.

Japan is also one of two Asian qualifiers that will contest the World Cup Sevens in San Francisco in July.
