Samsung Galaxy S9 update will bring access to FM radio

According to reports, the Galaxy Note 9 has surfaced on an official support page reportedly on Samsung's North Africa and South Africa websites.

The phone's appearance on a benchmarking site this early seems a little odd, especially when considering that it hasn't even been a month since Samsung launched the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+.

Samsung has typically launched the Note series around the August-September time period, but a report by The Investor suggests that the Note 9 could come as early as July.

The Galaxy Note 8 was unveiled on August 23rd, hitting stores on September 15th.

This assumption is in turn being made based on reports which say that Samsung Display is going to start making OLED panels for the Galaxy Note 9 in April.

Samsung has preponed the launch of Note series smartphone in the past and thus it won't be surprising if it does it again with Note 9. Sadly, it doesn't look it'll be getting its hands on an in-display fingerprint scanner. Samsung is apparently looking to beat Apple's new iPhones to market, but also to make up for Galaxy S9 sales that have apparently fallen well short of expectations. Out of these, two iPhones will come with OLED display (5.85-inch and 6.46-inch) and the third one may sport an LCD display (6.04-inch). A few weeks ago, a report said Samsung ditched such plans, while a different rumor claimed that Samsung was still planning to include the feature. The Galaxy Note 7 got launched a bit earlier than that in the same month, but we all know how well that went.
