Hyper Light Drifter is a name that will no doubt sting a bit to many a Nintendo fan, as the game was initially due out for Wii U before being ignobly cancelled.

West of Loathing is a slapstick comedy stick-figure Wild West adventure role-playing game. It will run you $11.

There were a number of other strong announcements, as well, including the arrival of The Banner Saga 3, as well as the previous two entries in the franchise. All three The Banner Saga games are confirmed to arrive on the Nintendo Switch, with the player's choices and progress from each game carrying over to the next. This title is a remake of the original PSP title and due out sometime in May.

In it, players travel to "the forgotten world of Numbra", where by manipulating the Shadow Core they will be able to traverse the landscape.

Developer Sabotage is also collaborating to develop the upcoming Oddworld: Soulstorm. This title has players dealing with the problems of commoners and influencing a kingdom. The team is aiming for a summer 2018 release, but hopefully it won't take too long to port this one over; the blend of neon pixel art, intense action, and Zelda-like exploration make this one a ideal fit for the hybrid. Players can take on the role of a monarch trying to protect their throne on Switch this spring. In the game, they will face a "seemingly never-ending series of requests" from peasants, allies and enemies. Sounds right up our ally.

Strategy game Reigns: Kings and Queens will be available this spring. Zombies will be slain in the tribute to 1980s B-movies. Garage launches first on Nintendo Switch on May 10.

We closed out the show with a pair of Viking themed affairs.
