Tuesday forecast: Seasonal but getting warmer the rest of the week

National Weather Service forecasters are warning that a fast-moving storm will bring heavy rain and strong winds to Massachusetts Tuesday morning and afternoon. Tuesday's high will be a more winter-like 34 degrees. There's a slight chance of rain Monday night, with lows dipping into the mid-30s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny with a 20% chance for rain/snow and a high near 38 degrees.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. South wind 9 to 11 miles per hour, with gusts as high as 18 miles per hour.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 54. Northwest wind around 5 miles per hour. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. Low: -7. Day: Partly cloudy and cold.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 54.

Saturday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 17.

Boston will see rainfall and a possibly thunderstorm before 4 p.m., with a chance of showers continuing into the evening, according to the city's 7-day forecast.

Tuesday: Rain. High near 48. Night: Cloudy to mostly cloudy with a 60 percent chance for snow.

NWS Hazardous Weather Outlook ★ A line of showers and a few thunderstorms will move into Northwest Alabama this morning and gradually push east across Cullman County through the afternoon.

Some of those showers could continue into early Saturday morning as we cool back down into the low 40s.

Next week it stays mild and dry for the first part of the week but in the long term monitoring a strong cold front late in the week with a chance of precipitation.
