NFL Schedule 2018: Three London Games Announced

The NFL is heading to a new destination in London, and the first match-up at English Premier League club Tottenham will be the Oakland Raiders against the Seattle Seahawks in October.

The Jaguars and Eagles are scheduled to compete in one of several worldwide games in 2018.

The NFL made it official Thursday, setting the details for the Eagles' first appearance in the league's International Series next season against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Eagles will play the Jaguars either October 21 or 28 at Wembley, and the Titans will play the Chargers on one of those two dates as well (apparently the league needed some flexibility) before nailing down which game would be played on which date. On top of that, they'll go into next season's game with a three-game winning streak at Wembley Stadium following victories over the Bills in 2015, the Colts in 2016 and the Ravens this season.

"It's a great learning for us, it's another test for us", Mark Waller, the NFL's executive vice president of global, said Thursday at the site of Tottenham's new stadium.

Overall, those four games are certainly better than most we have seen played internationally in recent years.

The Jags will play the Eagles on either October 21 (Week 7) or October 28 (Week 9). "Nobody in the United Kingdom needs to worry about our commitment; [it is a] unique year for us". We are able to contemplate something as audacious as having a team in London.

"This is a milestone year for the club as we look ahead to the opening of our new stadium and all that it will bring to the area of Tottenham", said Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy. If they end up being boring games, it's hard to say the National Football League didn't try its best to send over a trio of good games. Two will be staged at Wembley following the first game which will be played at Tottenham Hotspur's new 61,000-seat stadium.

The second game that was announced features a pair of division champions who are still alive in the playoffs. "We are very excited to be welcoming some outstanding playoff teams to the stadium in 2018 and hope our strong partnership will continue for years to come". "We will play an additional game at Tottenham in a future season, over and above the planned two per year, to make up for this".
