Justice Dept. Must Act on Allegations Against Clinton Aide Abedin, Comey

Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act?

Late last month, Trump dubbed him "leakin' James Comey" in a tweet, an allusion to Comey providing notes he took surrounding a conversation with Trump to an associate with the goal of him providing it to the press.

Several of the emails, which stemmed from Abedin's tenure as an aide to Clinton when she was Secretary of State, contained classified material that was redacted.

"Calling for the imprisonment of political rivals is a clear attempt by President Trump to further politicize the Department of Justice", said CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw.

In 2016, Comey said that he would not recommend prosecuting Clinton for her actions, but Trump has since publicly cast doubt's on the bureau's conclusion.

On Monday, Trump slammed Pakistan for "lies & deceit, " saying it had played USA leaders for "fools" by not doing enough to control militants. Republicans will have just a 51-49 Senate majority - well shy of the 60 votes needed to pass most bills - giving leverage to Democrats.

It was not immediately clear why the president chose to comment on Pakistan. It must agree on a spending bill by January 19 to avert a partial government shutdown. The U.S. has long accused Pakistan of allowing militants to operate relatively freely in its border regions to carry out operations in neighboring Afghanistan.

President Trump on Tuesday suggested the Department of Justice "must finally act?" to investigate longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin after the State Department last week released emails belonging to her, including some marked classified that were found on her husband's laptop. "Also on Comey & others".

On Monday, The Daily Caller reported that Abedin forwarded State Department emails to her personal Yahoo email account before Yahoo's systems were hacked, a breach that Yahoo said affected all 3 billion of its users. Trump's reference to sailors probably referred to the Navy sailor convicted of taking photos of classified areas inside a submarine.
