Galaxy S9 May Ditch the S8's Greatest Flaw

We all chuckled because small or large, you shouldn't ever have to compromise when choosing a flagship phone. A new report from a reputable leakster suggests that Samsung is indeed going to show off the handsets earlier.

It is unknown how much information Samsung will divulge at CES 2018 as they are still planning on an official launch event in March.

Today's report mentions that the Galaxy S9 (SM-G960) and Galaxy S9+ (SM-G965) will be very similar in style and feature set to the Galaxy S8 line you already know. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ will still have the 5.8- and 6.2-inch displays, respectively, and they'll each offer an Infinity Display with minimal bezel. Blass assures us that the Galaxy S9 is definitely a "tock". Venturebeat says to expect more RAM in the S9+, as well as a dual-camera setup on the rear.

Is that the worst news in the world that is deserving of a boycott over Samsung? It's also tipped to get a RAM boost up to 6GB, while the Galaxy S9 will have 4GB.

Changes are said to include the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, AKG stereo speakers (finally) and a better fingerprint sensor location under the camera - not off to the side.

The two cameras are displayed vertically rather than horizontally as on the Galaxy Note 8, and all in all, it should be easier this way to locate the fingerprint sensor without looking. If the renders from this Galaxy S9 leak are any indication, it's going to be a lovely device with premium looks to accompany its premium performance. I guess we'll know here in just over a month.
