Trump calls May after London terror attack; pledges support

US President Donald Trump has used the latest terrorist attack in London to promote his beleaguered travel ban on residents of six Muslim-majority countries, The Independence reported.

"Another attack in London by a loser terrorist".

"Another attack in London by a loser terrorist", the USA president tweeted.

The American president quickly added, in the hopes of exploiting the violence to advance his agenda, "The travel ban into the United States should be far larger, tougher and more specific - but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!"

Among his first actions after taking office in January was to order a ban on all citizens from seven Muslim-majority nations - Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Somalia from entering the United States for 90 days and all refugees for 180 days, later struck down by the courts.

Trump says he is preparing to call May.

Trump used the terrorist attack to revive his push for a travel ban for people from predominantly Muslim countries, an effort that has been hampered by US courts.

According to BBC, the explosive device had a timer, but "may have partially failed", which could explain why the attack was not worse.

But perhaps his most weird response came in this television interview aired from outside the White House.

The threat level was last raised to the highest level following the Manchester concert bombing in May, which killed 22, and remained there for several days.

President Donald Trump waves as he arrives at the White House, Thursday, Sept. 14, 2017, in Washington. "We are also aware of the attack in Burgundy, and our thoughts are with those wounded in that incident", Sanders said.

"Another attack in London by a loser terrorist", Trump added.

"The internet is [terrorists'] main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!" he tweeted.

The Sun Reports that Mayor of London Sadiq Khan has announced: "a manhunt is underway".

Trump concluded, "Must be proactive & nasty!"

Trump's assessment followed news of an explosion going off in a London subway vehicle during the morning rush hour that injured at least 18 commuters and was labeled a terrorist attack by police. We need the courts to give us back our rights.
