ESPN Host Calls the President 'A White Supremacist'

Hill tweeted, "He loves black people so much that he pandered to racists by using a flag that unquestionably stands for dehumanizing black people".

Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was one who gave his support of Hill on a tweet sent out by former Indiana Pacers guard and current TNT analyst Reggie Miller.

I worked with her at the Orlando Sentinel several years ago. "And certainly is something that is a fireable offense by ESPN".

ESPN has commissioned studies to try to eradicate this account, and a few recent hires (Will Cain, a reunion with Hank Williams Jr.) may have reflected an attempt at a correction.

The network saw backlash from the right when it awarded Caitlyn Jenner its Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYs. She went on record in April during an interview with "the Bernie and Sid Show" (h/t Sports Illustrated) that politics were becoming a sizable problem within the industry.

Many consider ESPN to be a liberal outlet, and the Republican party is a historically conservative party.

But charges of media bias have become common with 62 percent of the US adults surveyed in a Gallup poll released in April saying they thought the media favored one political party or another, up from around 50 percent in 2000. And one of President Trump's staunchest critics in sports media. Hill was suspended for those remarks.

The tweets have since been deleted.

In neither apologizing nor announcing a suspension - while simultaneously distancing itself - ESPN has managed to enrage just about everyone who has seen the "SportsCenter" anchor's Tuesday night rant about President Trump.

He pointed out that former Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling was sacked from his analyst position by the network when he retweeted a meme that was deemed offensive to the LGBTQ community.

In 2009, Hill also said University of Kentucky basketball fans would be satisfied if Charles Manson was the team's head coach as long as they won. Hill is an anchor on ESPN's "SportsCenter".

Deadspin.com took the opposite tack. He couldn't help but ask "Maybe ESPN got their feelings for Trump and Melo backwards?"

While the Michael Jordan axiom "White supremacist watch sports too" forced ESPN to address the issue, if it were really a problem, they'd have fired her.
