Spotify and Hulu Team Up To Offer College Students An Incredible Deal

Last week, Amazon offered their Music Unlimited service for $1 a month to students who had Prime.

The deal includes a bundled offer of Spotify's Premium music streaming service and Hulu's entry level video streaming service (which includes commercials).

Existing users of Spotify's student plan or subscribers to Hulu can merge their existing plan with this bundle. "We're very excited to be partnering with Hulu - a like-minded company which is as focused as we are on delivering the very best in high quality streaming content".

"The first step the companies are taking to bundle their services together, with offerings targeted at the broader market to follow", the companies said in a statement. T-Mobile US Inc said Wednesday it will offer a free Netflix subscription with its unlimited data family plans.

Hulu and Spotify are two leaders of a new class of entertainment company offering songs and TV shows on-demand for a monthly fee over the internet.

Sharing your Spotify playlist with a classmate or a ~crush~ is the most effective way of opening the window to your soul. Those who already are subscribed to Spotify Premium for Students will simply have to switch their subscription on the Spotify app.

Assuming you meet all of those requirements, you only need to pay $4.99 per month for access to both Spotify Premium and Hulu's limited commercials tier.

The entertainment bundle, $13 cheaper than the regular combined price, is the latest effort in the industry to gain young millennial customers, who favor low-cost online streaming and listening.

P.S. And if you are wondering how exactly does Spotify know whether you really are a student, they use the SheerID database, so there's no way to cheat the system.
