WWE reportedly banned "beach balls, pool noodles or any other inflatable items that could be bounced around" at last night's SmackDown Live, according to PWInsider.

Will Nakamura be looking for payback?

The main event was a rematch from SummerSlam with AJ Styles defending his USA title against Kevin Owens. At SummerSlam, the WWE Championship match between champion Jinder Mahal and challenger Shinsuke Nakamura ended in an all too familiar sight as, just when it seemed like Nakamura was closing in on becoming the new WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal's backup, The Singh Brothers, would get involved. Additionally, Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher will clash in a Gentleman's Duel.

The SummerSlam rematch was made by Smackdown commissioner Shane McMahon after Owens pled his case about how McMahon was not a fair referee during his title match with Styles on Sunday.

2-On-1 Handicap Match: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Owens wanted a special referee and Styles was fine with it because he can beat him and it doesn't matter to him who the referee is.

After Roode dodges English's attempt at a senton from the top rope, the Glorious One hits the Drama King with the Glorious DDT to pick up the win in his first match on the WWE main roster. Styles walked down to the ring to open the show. After the match, they cut a promo and put every tag team on notice because they will suffer the same fate as The New Day. Shane McMahon came out.

We see Owens trying to talk Superstars into being the special guest referee for his match.

Unable to get over his frustrations with the referee change, Styles mounted a comeback against Owens and defeated him using the Phenomenal Forearm. The team of Naomi and Becky got the win after Becky hit an exploder suplex on Carmella and then Naomi hit a split legged moon-sault on her for the pin. While Corbin is distracted, Kevin Owens low blows Styles and when Corbin goes to count the pinfall, McMahon pulls him out of the ring to make sure there is a clean win.

Owens was granted a final shot at the title and selected Baron Corbin as the guest referee after McMahon's inconsistent performance in a striped shirt at SummerSlam.
