Horse tests positive for West Nile Virus in Jackson County

"While Utah County does not now have any confirmed human cases of West Nile Virus, this is a great reminder to residents of the importance of taking steps to protect themselves from mosquitoes", says Eric Edwards, MCHES, MPA, Deputy Director of the Utah County Health Department. Apply an EPA-registered insect repellent containing DEET, picaridin, IR3535, oil of lemon eucalyptus or para-menthane-diol to clothes and exposed skin.
