As we expected, as with the previous trailer this one also places a lot of focus on the relationship between Kratos and his son.

Sony's God of War series is coming back in a big way, but not quite as you remember it. We see a bit more of what this game will offer, and we're loving everything about it. Expect to hear more in the future, but mark Early 2018 in your calendars.

In the new trailer some things are all but confirmed. We feel it leans towards more of a hack-and-slash type of game. However, this time around, everything is much more cinematic.

Kratos' son appears to be suffering from some kind of curse and he must embark with everyone's favourite genocidal Greek on a journey that involves killing an assortment of monsters. With new objective and his son at his side, Kratos must fight for survival as powerful forces threaten to disrupt the new life he has created... We'll have to wait and see.

Sony confirmed that the game will launch on early 2018, exclusively for the PS4, meaning it'll miss the holiday season, a crucial period for the gaming industry.
