Manchester Police Make Another Arrest in Bomb Attack Probe

British Prime Minister Theresa May said she plans to bring up USA leaks related to the investigation of the Manchester attack during a discussion with President Trump on Thursday. British police are irritated that information shared with USA officials has leaked to US media, which reported Abedi's name before police confirmed it.

The man arrested in the inner-city area of Rusholme Friday evening local time was not identified, but police said he was arrested "on suspicion of offences contrary to the terrorism act" and the arrest was connected to Monday's bombing outside an Ariana Grande concert.

Earlier this week, LiveNation announced that Grande would suspend all tour dates through June 5 following the attack that was allegedly carried out by 22-year-old Salman Abedi.

Citing unnamed federal security sources, Focus reports that British-born Salman Abedi twice flew from a German airport in recent years and wasn't on any global watch list.

But on Thursday the leaks continued, culminating in a New York Times article which included detailed forensic pictures of the crime scene outside the Manchester Arena, including the remains of the bag that Abedi used. Ramadan Abedi was interviewed from Libya while in detention, and he denied that his son was a follower of ISIS, who claimed responsibility for the attack on Tuesday.

British Prime Minister Theresa May had warned the "special relationship" could be harmed by the repeated leaking of confidential details and raised her concerns with Donald Trump at a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit in Brussels yesterday.

British officers said the leaks had caused "distress and upset" to the victims' families.

"As it stands, 10 people in total have been arrested in connection with the investigation, of which a man and a woman have since been released without charge".

During the visit he is expected to "reaffirm America's commitment to the Special Relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom and our solidarity in defeating terrorism in every part of the world", according to a State Department spokeswoman.

Manchester police said the arrests were "significant" and the investigation continues with searches that will take place for several more days. The resulting explosion killed 22 and injured 64 others.

Grande said after the attack that she was heartbroken.
