Is Disney Officially the Most Unstoppable Studio?

The success of Lucasfilm's "Rogue One" over the weekend - $155 million domestically - was a fitting bookend for Disney since "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" brought much of its $2.07 billion in ticket sales early in the year.

It's actually an example of back-and-forth and back again. Set just before the opening scenes of Episode IV, the story concerns the previously unnamed rebel spies who famously stole the Death Star plans. It'll definitely be interesting to see how he became the person that we met in Rogue One! "It gave him more time to develop the character as far as, 'How did he get there?'"

Certainly, with "Rogue One" already released in cinemas, fans are already devouring it and are now just waiting for the new and upcoming "Star Wars" movies. It would be unprecedented to have that level of crossover between a film and tv series, even if they're sharing a universe, so fans need to hope (and, you know, support the show by watching it and buying toys/products associated with it) that it goes that long.

Interestingly, Perri hasn't seen Rogue One yet.

Are you excited to see Gerrera in Star Wars: Rebels? It's more about his philosophy and who he is and what he thinks about the Rebellion - and how they go about resisting the Empire. Long before Whitaker brought the rebel fighter to live-action, Gerrera appeared in Season 5 of #CloneWars, set decades before Rogue One, when he was in his physical prime.

"Saw really has this feeling that there are things at work, and if [the Rebels] don't get active, there'll be no stopping it", Filoni says.

Saw will meet up with the Ghost crew during a two-part episode titled "Ghost of Geonosis", kicking off on January 7. And he's far from the version we saw in the movie.

Tonight Rogue One faces competition from three new wide releases starting previews: Universal's Sing (6PM), 20th Century Fox's Assassin's Creed (7pm) and Sony/Village Roadshow's Passengers (7pm).
