It isn't just coffee chains that have been roped into this holiday (of sorts) - truck stops, convenience stores, doughnut chains and others are getting in on the act.

Krispy Crème is taking it a step further and handing out a 12-ounce cup of coffee AND a glazed donut.

Coffee connoisseurs are celebrating National Coffee Day Thursday with deals ranging from free coffees to charitable donations.

National Coffee Day, September 29, allows coffee lovers the opportunity to indulge in free cups of liquid happiness from some of their favorite national retailers. National Coffee Day 2016 marks the one-year anniversary of Starbucks' fight against coffee rust, a fungus that attacks trees and is devastating coffee farms in Latin America. The free coffee at Cumberland Farms will continue in October with "Free Coffee Fridays".

Stewart's Shops: Enjoy a free hot or iced coffee - any size, any flavor - from noon to close on Thursday. Valid for customers in the US and Canada from 12:01 a.m. -11:59 p.m. EDT on September 29, 2016.

Get a free cup of coffee with any food purchase. The chain will also donate a free cup of coffee to caregivers at health facilities and hospitals across the country when people purchase a cup of Amy's Blend coffee, according to USA Today.

Peet's Coffee: Get a medium coffee with the purchase of a select food item, including any artisan baked goods, a Simply Oatmeal, or a Fresh Food item.

Wawa, Inc. will offer free coffee of any size at each of its locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Florida and Virginia.
